Assessment of combustion behaviour of carbonize bio-briquette wood residue under different pressure and particle size

Abstract The effect of particle size distribution and compaction pressure wood residues briquette was investigated. Starch used as a binder. Concerning that the have valuable content namely lignin cellulose, high possibility to be modified biofuel. In this study, (iron gelam woods) were treated by drying, milling, carbonization at 500 °C. ratio between carbonize binders 20% weight. manufactured room temperature with different (10, 12, 15 MPa) (40, 50, 60 µm). results revealed inorganic binder performed good combination. characteristics residue (WRB) during first 50 min higher burning (180°C) for µm MPa pressure. lowest water absorption value 0.25% compacted MPa. Burning rate decreased follows (3.1 2.3 g ?1 ).
